Piano Lessons Built for Lifelong Musicianship
Offering personalized, comprehensive Piano education focused on artistry, technique, and a true understanding of music.
Our Approach to Music Education
I aim to teach a complete musical education centered around the piano and inspire a love and appreciation of music. Together, we focus on four core pillars to build well-rounded musicians:
-
Developing deep expression and true performance skills.
-
Understanding the foundational language and structure of music.
-
Building general agility and strength at the Piano.
-
Seeing music as a whole art form, not just notes on a page.
Dedication to the Craft
Attendance & Progress:
Training musical talent relies entirely on consistency, which is why lessons are a semester-long commitment. Skipping months is not permitted.
Your tuition secures a dedicated weekly time slot.
As a student’s skills and repertoire grow, I will provide advance notice to transition them to longer lesson lengths to sustain steady progress.
Practice & Instrument Requirements:
Progress requires consistent daily effort outside of the studio. Students are expected to practice 30 minutes to 1 hour, 5 days a week.
Parents play a vital role by actively establishing and maintaining this routine at home.
All students must have ready access to an acoustic piano or digital keyboard at home. Looking for an instrument? Reach out for my personal recommendations!
Performance Opportunities & Community
The Stage as a Teacher: All students are expected to participate in studio recitals and local music teachers association competitions. Learning to perform publicly builds a unique set of skills separate from reading sheet music, resulting in a confident, well-rounded musician.
Media Consent: To celebrate student success, I capture high-quality photos and videos of performances to share online. To respect your privacy, students always remain completely anonymous, and parents are welcome to download and share the media.
